SISHK has inherited the essence of the Singaporean system — rigorous without being rigid. It stands out among Hong Kong's many international schools because it strikes a fine balance between the Eastern insistence on a secure grasp of fundamentals and the Western emphasis on creativity and critical thinking. Our strongest impression on the day was of a distinctive presence about the place: the discipline and solidity of Eastern education together with the flexibility of the West.

在開放日的參觀中，最讓我們印象深刻的是學校對於「雙語教學」的堅持。這裏的雙語，不是簡單的每週幾節中文課，而是真正的沉浸式環境。SISHK 以英語和普通話作為主要教學語言，這在香港的國際學校中極具優勢。學生們不僅能説一口流利的英語，更能用規範、優雅的普通話進行深度的學術討論。What impressed us most as we toured the school was its commitment to genuine bilingual teaching. Bilingual here does not mean a few Chinese lessons a week; it means a properly immersive environment. SISHK uses both English and Putonghua as its main languages of instruction, which gives it a considerable edge among Hong Kong's international schools. Its pupils not only speak fluent English but can hold a searching academic discussion in correct and elegant Putonghua.
但SISHK想要的，遠不止於此。Yet SISHK is after a good deal more than that.

當天的重頭戲，莫過於由師生共同策劃的二十多個互動展位。這些展位不是簡單的遊戲，而是學科知識的生動轉化。The centrepiece of the day was a set of more than twenty interactive booths planned jointly by teachers and pupils. These were not simply games: each one turned the content of a subject into something you could take part in.
中英數的趣味碰撞Chinese, English and Mathematics, Made Fun
傳統的主科在這裏變成了有趣的挑戰賽，讓孩子們在玩樂中體驗SISHK的課程深度。The traditional core subjects had been turned into entertaining challenges, letting children experience the depth of the SISHK curriculum while they played.
特別值得一提的是中文展位。這裏不僅介紹了豐富的中國文化傳統，學校內的中文學會更設立了精美的展板，展示了學生們的優秀作文與書法作品。看着那些工整有力、文采飛揚的漢字，你很難想象這是一所國際學校學生的作品，這正是SISHK雙語教育成功的最佳鐵證。The Chinese booth deserves particular mention. As well as introducing a wealth of Chinese cultural tradition, the school's Chinese Society had put up beautifully made display boards showing outstanding student compositions and calligraphy. Looking at those characters — neat, strong, written with real flair — it is hard to believe they are the work of pupils at an international school. Nothing could be firmer proof that SISHK's bilingual education works.
